A Dutch gin drink with special herbs and spices

You can make this punch as a single serving. But isn’t it much merrier to share with friends? If you don’t have a punch bowl, don’t worry—a teapot will do just fine.
Servings: 6
Ingredients
9 ounces Bols Genever
9 ounces Demerara syrup (equal parts demerara sugar and hot water)
3/4 teaspoon spice mix (1/4 ground allspice
Directions:
1. Make demerara syrup by combining demerara sugar and hot water in a bowl, and mix together nutmeg, allspice and ground cloves to make spice mix.
2. In a punch bowl or teapot, combine the ingredients and top with 8 ounces of hot water. Serve in teacups and garnish with a lemon slice per cup.
