Simple Pita Chips Recipe
Save that pita! Turn it into dippable pita chips
Quick, before that bag of pita bread you're not going to finish gets stale, make chips! Crunchy, salty and highly dippable (especially when it comes to homemade hummus), pita chips pack way less unhealthy fat than their potato or tortilla counterparts. If you make them with whole wheat pita, you'll also get a fiber boost not found in any crinkly bag. Unless the bag is full of pita chips. But we digress. If you thought our homemade tortilla chip recipe was a cinch, this one, believe it or not, is even easier. Try brushing the chips with spice-infused oil for an enhanced flavor experience.
Ingredients
- Brush each pita round with olive oil.
- Cut each pita into 8 wedges and sprinkle lightly with salt.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
