Utilize Costco's Free Food Court Ice To Travel With Frozen Groceries
To keep frozen groceries from becoming a thawing, melting mess when taking them home from your local Costco, carry them in reusable insulated bags filled with free food court ice.
You can get plenty of free ice from the soda machines in a Costco food court, but it can be difficult to do so when the food court is crowded and the machines are under heavy use.
To avoid ending up with tiny amounts of ice, facing a long wait, and making others wait as you spend minutes filling bags of ice, shop at hours when the food court isn’t too busy.
Since Costco doesn’t offer bags and the discarded cardboard produce carriers shoppers use instead aren’t suitable for ice, be sure to carry your own insulated grocery bags.
