Transform Greek Yogurt Into Pizza Dough With A Single Ingredient

Instead of ordering pizza delivery, make one from scratch in even less time. You can make a perfectly tender and chewy pizza crust by combining Greek yogurt with self-rising flour.

Self-rising flour contains the proper ratio of baking powder and salt. You can make your own by combining 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder and ½ teaspoon salt per cup of flour.

The acidity in the Greek yogurt activates the baking powder and allows the pizza dough to rise while baking in the oven, creating a beautiful crust without a yeast-based recipe.

Be sure to use plain Greek yogurt for this recipe. Although you can use nonfat or 2% Greek yogurt, whole milk or full-fat Greek yogurt will yield the most flavorful results.

Combine the ingredients in a bowl using a two-to-one ratio of self-rising flour to Greek yogurt, then knead the dough by hand. Don't worry if it seems dry and crumbly at first.

The pizza dough will become more cohesive as you work it with your hands. If the dough is sticky, add more flour until it's pliable and can be easily rolled into a pizza shape.

Once your dough is ready, add your favorite sauce and toppings, then bake it at 450 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 to 12 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted.
