However, TikTok user @findingmom.me bought a dozen fertile eggs from Trader Joe's, incubated them, and hatched chickens. Other people on YouTube have also done it.

Fertilized eggs are nearly identical to regular eggs, the specification just means that the hen who laid the egg spent some time with a rooster.

A chick could hatch from an egg under the right conditions. However, the cold temperatures of refrigeration typically prevent the imperceptibly small embryo from growing.
