The Reason Your Favorite Coffee Creamer Is Made With Vegetable Oil
Millions of people around the world enjoy a morning cup of coffee, and many of them use coffee creamer. What many don’t realize is that vegetable oil is used in creamers.
Vegetable oil actually helps extend the creamer's shelf life, which is particularly useful for large containers. Oil also gives creamer its dairy appearance.
The truth is most creamers are non-dairy products, even if they may contain milk proteins like casein or whey. The main components of coffee creamers are water, sugar, and oil.
Creamers are processed so you can’t taste, see, or feel the oil, which would be weird for many people. You can always look up recipes for oil- and dairy-free creamers.
