In addition to being a Hollywood star, Marilyn Monro was also an accomplished cook. Monroe liked to keep things simple for everyday dinners with a combo of meat and carrots.
The star liked to pick up meat from a market close to where she was staying and cook it in her hotel room. Monroe preferred to eat raw carrots.
In a 1952 interview with Pageant magazine, Monroe said "I must be part rabbit." She had a habit of downing four or five raw carrots at dinner time.
The star would grab a steak, lamb chops, or even liver and broil it using an electric oven in her hotel room — an ingenious way to prepare dinner without a kitchen.
