The Earthy Sea Salt Oprah Takes With Her To Restaurants
Oprah is famous for many things, including her annual "Favorite Things" list. The 2017 installment included her favorite sea salt that she brings with her to restaurants.
Her favorite truffle sea salt, a blend of fresh herbs, truffles, and Sicilian sea salt, is one of many products from the 110-year-old family-owned truffle company Sabatino Tartufi.
The variety Oprah prefers, in particular, is made with black summer truffles, rosemary, and black pepper. The high-end truffles provide warm, earthy flavors and aromas.
The brand harvests these delicacies at their peak and preserves the truffles for year-round enjoyment. The blend can be consumed by anyone, regardless of dietary restrictions.
The finishing salt is kosher, vegan, non-GMO, gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free. Oprah's favorite variety is sold in a 3.53-ounce jar as well as a set of ten small packets.
Be it meats, fish, eggs, french fries, vegetables, or a bowl of popcorn, the elegant truffle sea salt can be incorporated in place of regular salt to season just about any dish.
The Sabatino Tartufi website also offers its own recipe ideas such as green beans with rosemary truffle salt or white bean and rosemary dip with truffles.
