Pickle Juice Is An Underrated Hydration Powerhouse
Don’t throw away pickle juice, as the pucker-worthy, briny water is full of nutrients and electrolytes that can provide superior hydration.
Pickle water is packed with electrolytes like sodium and potassium. There’s also vitamins C and E, which can aid the immune system.
Likewise, the vinegar present in the liquid can even aid in weight loss, regulation of blood sugar, and the growth of good bacteria in the gut.
In fact, pickle juice has an edge over sports drinks like Gatorade since they can be packed with sugar. Moreover, studies have shown that the juice can help with muscle cramps.
The only downside is that pickle juice usually contains a lot of sodium. It’s best to have just one to three ounces of the liquid a day, either straight up or diluted in water.
