Paul Hollywood Considers This Loaf The 'Rolls Royce' Of Bread
Born into a family of bakers, Paul Hollywood has showcased his depth of baking expertise in his best-selling book "100 Great Breads" and as host of "The Great British Baking Show."
The renowned baker's most cherished loaf is one he created himself: an almond and Roquefort sourdough. The bread was crafted from top-grade flour and imported Roquefort cheese.
Hollywood dubbed it the “Rolls Royce” of bread. In 2008, this luxurious loaf sold for £15 (around $19) at Harrods department store, earning it the title of Britain's priciest bread.
While the original loaf is no longer sold, Hollywood does offer a recipe for Roquefort and walnut bread, which, with its sharp blue cheese and crunchy nuts, makes a sublime treat.
