Menu Items With Frivolous Names Are A Dark Red Flag

Silly-sounding names on a menu indicate that a restaurant might not be that good. Time spent on cute names may mean they’re mostly focused on just selling the food.

Here's a tip: You don't have to say the dish's name, such as Stay Groovy Grilled Cheese, if you don't want to. You're allowed to point and retain a certain level of dignity.

Themed restaurants were popular in the 80s and 90s, and have historically been perpetrators of this titling tirade. Restaurants like the Rainforest Cafe made bad food puns an art.

Theme restaurants have seen a resurgence in recent years. Keep in mind that any time you eat at such an establishment, you may be paying more for the theming than the food.
