How You Can Turn A Can Of Lentil Soup Into A Tasty Veggie Burger
Whipping up your first homemade veggie burger can be overwhelming, but all you need to do is open up your pantry, bring out a can of lentil soup, and you’re almost there.
Cans of lentil soup not only make for a great meaty texture, but they are also rich in protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Plus, they’re also low in saturated fat and sodium.
Making a veggie burger with a can of lentil soup is also very easy. Just open the can of soup, drain the liquid, and you're ready to get cooking.
You will, however, need a binder to hold the patty together, and an egg is a great choice thanks to its protein content. You can also add seasoned breadcrumbs for an extra crunch.
For those keen on whipping up an eggless patty, you can easily make the burger vegan by using an egg replacer such as a flaxseed meal or chickpea flour.
