It’s essential to clean Keurig needles to avoid sputtering and incomplete brewing. First, ensure the machine is off and unplugged, then remove the pod holder.
To remove the pod holder to access the needle, simply lift the handle then push the K-cup holder upward and remove the lower funnel portion from the pod holder.
Use a straightened paper clip or toothpick to unclog both the exit and entrance needles. The entrance needle will get rinsed during the water-only brew cycles.
After cleaning, get ready for the rinse cycles. Run at least two water-only brewing cycles with the largest cup setting to rinse out whatever debris remains in the system.
