Bacon slices in vacuum plastic packaging

How To Separate Bacon Without Stretching It
Despite cooking preferences ranging from barely-cooked to charred, bacon enthusiasts face the common challenge of separating bacon slices without stretching or tearing the meat.
To unstick the slices, warm the package to room temperature for 15 minutes to soften the fat. Next, before opening it, roll the package into a tube from the short end.
This approach prevents damage to the slices, promoting even cooking. Regular-size bacon slices are just 1/16-inch thick and vacuum sealing causes them to bond tightly together.
