How Long An Open Jar Of Pickles Lasts In The Fridge
Refrigerated pickles can sit for several months if they’re unopened and stored in a cold fridge. Once opened, however, they should be kept for no longer than three months.
Refrigerated pickles are quickly pickled and have a shorter shelf life, while shelf-stable pickles are fermented and pasteurized, lasting for years at room temperature.
Once opened, refrigerate shelf-stable pickles for up to two years, while promptly refrigerating refrigerated pickles upon purchase for prolonged freshness.
You’ll know pickles have gone back when they emit a strong, sour odor and taste excessively sour compared to when initially opened.
