Here's What Ina Garten Has On Her Counter For Quick Cooking Access
Chef Ina Garten doesn’t just have good recipes, she also has great tips on how to make cooking easier. One tip includes what she leaves on her counter for easy access.
Garten always leaves lemons, limes, and oranges on her countertop. In her cookbook “Cook Like a Pro,” she writes that you get the most juice from them at room temperature.
Two more must-haves on Garten’s counter are two frequently used aromatics: onions and garlic. Salt is also always present, so it gets a spot on the counter.
Garten also likes to keep eggs on her counter. While there are advantages to this, the CDC says it is not safe to leave pasteurized eggs unrefrigerated for longer than two hours.
Non-food items she likes to keep on the counter are bowls for storing ingredients, spoons for stirring and tasting, and cooking utensils like spatulas, wooden spoons, and whisks.
