Giada De Laurentiis' Preferred Trail Mix For Travel Days

In an interview with Forbes, chef Giada De Laurentiis shared that her favorite trail mix combo is made with Marcona almonds, walnuts, dried cranberries, and chocolate chips.

The Marcona almond is sweet in flavor and hails from Spain. They are commonly prepared by blanching and then roasting, and are served with a sprinkle of rosemary and salt.

The other nut in Laurentiis' snack mix is walnuts. The nutty flavor of walnuts, with their bitter note, goes well with the sweet almonds, chocolate, and cranberries in the mix.

De Laurentiis uses dried cranberries in her travel trail mix to get her through long flights. As for the chocolate chips, she admits to having a soft spot for chocolate in any form.

Another one of De Laurentiis’ favorite trail mixes includes her Simply7 by Giada olive oil popcorn, pistachios, dried cherries, and bittersweet chocolate chips.
