Correctly Stretch Pizza Dough With One Temperature Secret

Making your own or using store-bought dough to create a DIY pizza pie can be frustrating if the dough just won't behave. It may be due to one of a few factors.

Pizza dough needs to be at room temperature to stretch properly. So, if you've just taken your store-bought dough out of the refrigerator, know that it needs to warm up a little.

This could take a half-hour to an hour or two, depending on how long it's been in the fridge and how warm your kitchen is.

Remove the dough from the packaging and place it in a lightly oiled mixing bowl (so it doesn't stick). Then, cover the bowl and let the dough warm up before you stretch it.
