Break Up Ground Meat Easily With An Unconventional Kitchen Tool

In order to get the best taste out of ground beef, it's necessary to cook it evenly. For a quicker and more effective way to break up the meat, use a potato masher.

The uniform holes found on a potato masher allow the meat to break down into even pieces. It maximizes the meat’s surface area and allows it to brown evenly.

Lean meats like turkey or bison are also easier to break down using a potato masher since the meat is forced through the masher's holes, making it less likely to clump together.
