Stack of Rice Krispie treats

Add One Ingredient, And You’ll Never Make Dry Rice Krispie Treats
You may feel comfortable sticking to the tried and true Rice Krispie treat recipe that's been on the box’s side for over 80 years, but some additions can make a huge difference.
One such addition is sweetened condensed milk. It can effectively prevent your treats from being too dry and help them retain moisture, keeping them much softer for much longer.
To start, melt 6 tablespoons of butter on the stove and add 1 cup of sweetened condensed milk. Go about the rest of the recipe in the traditional method, adding marshmallows next.
Do this over low heat to avoid a hard and crunchy result. Lastly, chill the treats in the refrigerator and store them in an air-tight container to prevent them from going stale.
