Ingredients
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • 1 tablespoons chives
  • 1 ¼ cup buttermilk
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F.
  2. Cook the bacon in the oven on a foil-lined baking sheet for 15-20 minutes until crispy. Let drain and cool on a paper towel-lined plate before chopping into small pieces and setting aside.
  3. Increase the oven temperature to 425 F.
  4. In a food processor, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt, then cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse sand.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a large bowl and stir in the garlic powder, cheddar cheese, chives, and crumbled bacon.
  6. Add the buttermilk to the bowl, stirring until just combined and a dough is formed.
  7. Use a 2-ounce cookie scoop or ¼ cup measuring cup to drop mounds of biscuit dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
