This week we kicked off the start of baseball season with a couple of ballpark-themed snacks. The black 'n blue popcorn is a far cry from those fried kernels dripping with "butter" and the fries, well, just don't have somewhere important to be after putting away a serving or two. 3 cloves of garlic is a lot of garlic. Craft Beer & Spirits Week has been a truly special time for Food Republic's Recipes section. I like to think all our savory recipes have their soulmate booze pairing, but this week we focused on bar snacks to enhance your drinking experience no matter what's in your glass. The Recipes section welcomed some bold new additions this week. The peanut sauce on our Indonesian salad goes on just about anything, so make a double-batch, a pork loin with homemade chipotle barbecue sauce will tide us over until it's officially grilling weather and we learned that vegan polenta is absolutely delicious. Bet you can guess what we'll be spreading on anything that needs a little caramel spike this weekend.

Spring's definitely peeking out of the forsaken hole it's been hiding in since November, and we're meeting it head-on with delicious leafy greens, protein-packed salads, lean meats and light breakfasts. We took a trip around the world for this week's recipes. Fiery North African harissa spice jazzed up some very, very hot wings, stuffed artichokes with lamb and nuts, got our Meatless Monday inspiration via Los Angeles and India (by way of Australia), fried up some tapioca cheese fritters as is tradition in Brazil and made it back in time for the NYC Bell's tap takeovers!
