We've been looking forward to National Sandwich Day for weeks, hoarding fine mustards and anchovies, thinly slicing red onions, baking fresh slider buns and whisking up grandma's homemade mayo, which calls for eggs laid that very morning. It's not every day we get to use our commercial deli meat slicer It's SANDWICH DAY. Throw away that sad package of deli sushi and pay tribute to the best thing ever, with 12 of our greatest hits.
