Over the past two weeks we’ve run interviews with Ken Friedman, the prolific New York City restaurateur and former music industry executive. He recently announced plans for a forthcoming reboot of Tosca in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood, his first non-Gotham opening with chef-partner April Bloomfield. We asked him to fill us in on some of the details.

The 12 Nights Of Christmas At Meadowood has become a bit of a San Francisco tradition where Napa Valley chef Christopher Kostow ( of the Restaurant at Meadowood) invites 12 guest chefs to serve dinners with 12 legendary wine producers. Each of the 12 Days dinners cost $1,240 per couple and includes an overnight stay — with some of the profits benefiting Share Our Strength along the way
