Today's Snacktime: It's One Banana, Michael. What Could It Cost, $10?

AD's Bluth's Original Banana Stand comes to NYC
May 13, 2013 1:02 pm

Now you don't have to call it the OC, cause Bluth's Original Frozen Banana Stand has left the Orange for the Apple. Wow, that's too many fruits. Yes, tipped off by a friend who's just as unabashedly obsessed with Arrested Development as I am, I'll be getting a GOB (GOB!) on my snack break today — a crane dropped them off right over by Rockefeller Center.

Kickstarter is the world’s largest funding platform for creative projects, allowing users (dreamers?) to outline ambitious projects, along with a requested total donation amount from visitors, who are often allowed to buy in for as little as $1. Bigger contributors are rewarded with perks from users, such as exclusive free samples of products and invitations to private gatherings. Here are five of our favorite food-related projects on Kickstarter that still need your help.

Apr 1, 2013 3:32 pm

I may be all caught up on the books (yup, I know what happens, now who wants to touch me?) but that didn't preclude me from counting down the minutes to last night's Game Of Thrones premiere. Hang onto your nipples and check out this video from MTV Geek, with Natalie Dormer/Lady Margaery and the MTV geek himself, Steve Smith. Ready for some awkward pear peeling?

Top Chef Adds Two New Countries To Roster

Restaurant Wars are heading to Southeast Asia
Mar 29, 2013 2:01 pm

The next most exciting incarnation of Top Chef may not be in Portland or at the Jersey Shore after all. NBC Universal announced yesterday that they've sealed deals to expand the Top Chef franchise to Spain and Indonesia (NBC's first deal in Southeast Asia). Sounds like the cast just got potentially better-looking and the ingredients way more exciting.

Bob's Burger Of The Day Tumblr Makes Us Want To Spend $5.95

One admirable soul rounded up all of Bob's Burgers
Jan 23, 2013 12:02 pm

I get really into the Bob's Burgers specials. I even tried to make up my own once: The Good, The Bad and the Chutney. But the nice folks in the writer's room (who penned this awesome list for Food Republic) put me to shame. It looks like I'm not the only one collecting puns — one fan snapped up this delightful low-hanging fruit and tossed it up on Tumblr as any self-respecting animated comedy fan would do.

Dec 26, 2012 3:16 pm

Everyone has their own ideas when it comes to future food trends. It is highly doubtful, however, that any of them have involved Hulk Hogan. Until now that is. The semi-retired professional wrestler and television personality plans to unveil his new restaurant — which he bills as "Hooters times 10" — on New Year’s Eve in Tampa, Florida.

In honor of the fake Arrested Development episodes on Netflix, I thought I'd share the menu for the epic AD party I've been dreaming of for so long. We all decided you have to come in costume and stay in character. I'm being fake pregnant Maggie Lizer. Paul's being Gene Parmesean. Hathanh's being Anyong. We already found some washable blue paint. And how hard could it really be to locate a hand hook?
