One of our favorite recipe blogs on the block is The Food In My Beard, a colorful (and quite useful) site run by the bearded Dan Whalen. He’s currently based in Boston, after having spent three years in Bermuda. So his sensibility is quite international in flavor. He's also a pop culture junkie, which leads to these 10 recipes.

Five years ago, DJs A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs founded Fool's Gold, a record label and collaborative that put the duo at the forefront of artist-run entities in the post–big label era. What few people realized as these rising DJ/entrepreneurs started to grow their brand is that while their expertise was clearly in hip-hop, pop, soul, parties and events, they also shared a culinary passion that was also ahead of the game. They even have a food blog on their website. But why?

We all have that relative or maybe even (gulp) parent who decided "awh what the heck, let's see what this Facebook thing is about." These people must be humored, be nice and friend them back, knowing they'll never find the Tumblr you set up to expose their crotchety old criticism and weird praise regarding chain restaurants.
