Chicago chef and restaurateur Paul Kahan joins musician Mark Ibold (Sonic Youth, Pavement) in the second episode of Food Republic and Talkhouse‘s collaborative podcast. The two chat about marinating chickens, serving seafood with cheese, first concerts, college days, and more. Not familiar with Kahan’s work? As for Ibold, whose bass playing helped drive some of the most influential rock albums of the past two decades, he’s also a seasoned home cook and former contributor to Lucky Peach magazine, and it’s well-known in certain NYC circles that he’s often found tending bar at the Great Jones Café.
