This Sushi Ferris Wheel Is The Toy Of Your Dreams

Go ahead and toss your Easy-Bake Oven — there's a new food toy in town, and it makes conveyor belt sushi look like a thing of the past. Japanese toy manufacturers Takara Tomy have created a table-top sushi ferris wheel, modeled after one at Mount Fuji's Fuji-Q Highland amusement park.

The six-carriage wheel comes with plates, a rice molder, squid-shaped rice paddle and the makings of a rollercoaster-like ramp from which plates of sushi can slide down on, all for ¥10,778 (USD$98). The set is available for purchase beginning in July (sushi fix-ins sold separately).

If that's not enough to convince you to put this on your Christmas or birthday wish list, the commercial below features an ultra-cool animated sushi chef jiving along to Japanese club music.

Takara Tomy also makes toys that make it easy to shave adzuki ice pops and make pudding milkshakes. Watch how it works in the video below.
