Comedian Michael Che Joins The Line At Franklin Barbecue

Recently, we enlisted soon-to-be-superstar* comedian Michael Che to answer this question: Why are people waiting in line for hours, in the morning, to eat at Franklin Barbecue in Austin, Texas?

The hilarious Che, a soon-to-be-former writer for Saturday Night Live who becomes the newest correspondent trading barbs with Jon Stewart as a regular on The Daily Show in June, found a diverse group of men, women, children and even a dog queued up for hours waiting for the doors to open at 11 a.m. to get a taste of pitmaster Aaron Franklin's famed brisket, ribs and sausages. Watch as Che interviews these devotees of Franklin's beloved 'cue, making new friends — and even learning alcohol consumption tricks — along the way.

*Update on September 12, 2014: Michael Che is going to be the new host of Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update, according to reports.
