The Edible Schoolyard Benefit Is Bringing Together 30 Of NYC's Best Chefs

A multi-course meal prepared by a number of New York City's best chefs. A well-known actor acting as Co-Chair and a celebrity DJ spinning all night. All this for a worthy cause. Edible Schoolyard NYC's second annual spring benefit is definitely not one to miss. Set to take place on the evening of Monday, April 7, the event – titled "Putting Down Roots" – will feature Jake Gyllenhaal as honorary Co-Chair and musical guest Questlove on the turntables.

The evening's proceeds will benefit Edible Schoolyard NYC, a nonprofit organization that partners with public schools in underserved areas of the city to build organic gardens and kitchen classrooms. Culinary Chair and Momofuku founder David Chang has assembled a cast of the city's hottest chefs to each design and prepare an intimate, open-kitchen, four-course dinner for an individual table. Take a look at the incredible lineup of participating chefs below, and head to the organization's website for more information and to purchase tickets.
