The 2014 Good Food Award Winners Are Announced

Here at Food Republic, we are all for celebrating quality food that has been responsibly produced. Our column What's Your Story highlights innovative entrepreneurs in the food industry, describing the launch of a new food brand, the production process and the designing of the packaging. The annual Good Food Awards — announced at the iconic Ferry Building in San Francisco — took place late last week. The ceremonies honor producers who push their industries towards craftsmanship and sustainability while enhancing the agricultural landscape and building strong communities.

Now in their fourth year, the awards are given to recipients from each of the country's five regions, in ten categories: beer, charcuterie, cheese, chocolate, coffee, confections, oil, pickles, preserve and spirits. Among the winners were Food Republic favorites Brooklyn Brewery (New York), Blackberry Farm (Tennessee), Intelligentsia Coffee (California), Rick's Picks (New York) and Clear Creek Distillery (Oregon). For more information and a full list of winners, be sure to head over to the Good Food Awards' website.
