10 Recipes We're Looking Forward To Cooking This Spring
Spring veggies are making their way to the market
For the past couple of weeks we've been dropping by the farmers market, impatiently awaiting the arrival of spring veggies. We've had our fair share of roots, cabbage and cauliflower, now it's time for snap peas, asparagus and artichokes! This week, we noticed the first crop of asparagus stalks pop up on the stands (that and those delicious first cherry tomatoes). Needless to say, we started compiling recipes well in advance. Here are 10 of our very favorites.
Asparagus and Pecorino Recipe
Asparagus and Pecorino team in a mighty side dish
This asparagus and pecorino recipe is so easy to make, and so satisfying, that it will likely make it to The Food Republic Hall of Fame. But first things first. Cacık Cold Cucumber-Yogurt Soup Recipe
Think beyond gazpacho for summer's cold soups
Yes, gazpacho is great, but after slurping the stuff all summer, I needed a break from the cold tomato concoction. Enter cacık (pronounced JAH-jek), another hot-weather favorite.
