This week we were all about beer-spiked food, especially cooking with the wonderful, magical and insanely versatile ingredient that is classic Guinness stout. As pointed out in our enlightening 11 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Guinness, you could pour the stuff over vanilla ice cream and have a fantastic dessert, but we're really into the sweet, sharp play on Welsh Rarebit that was this week's Green Apple Guinness Melt. If you need a little more padding than that, we recommend Irish Nachos.
And the Horchaha Especiale? Trust us, you're not going to want an Irish coffee come the morning of the 18th. Unless, of course, you do. Here are this week's new recipes.
