The Annual C-CAP Culinary Event Is This Monday In NYC
Top chefs, restaurants come together for good cause
The annual Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP) culinary event will take place Monday, March 4 at 6:30 p.m. at Pier 60 at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan. This year’s event will honor the achievements of renowned restaurateur Tony May, owner of New York’s SD26 and will feature Food Republic co-founder Marcus Samuelsson as Chef Chair as well as CBS News co-anchor Maurice DuBois as Master of Ceremonies. Past recipients of the C-CAP Honors Award have included Samuelsson, Drew Nieporent, Thomas Keller, Michael McCarty, Charlie Palmer, Danny Meyer and Daniel Boulud.
Proceeds from the evening will benefit the national not-for-profit’s mission of providing scholarships, education and career opportunities in the culinary arts to disadvantaged youth. Guests will enjoy food from over 40 of New York City's best-known restaurants, and auctions will feature once-in-a-lifetime culinary and travel packages.
For tickets, which start at $550, and more information about the event, visit the organization’s website or call 212-974-7111.
