Scott Anderson Kicks Off The Blowout 12 Nights Of Meadowood

The 12 Nights Of Christmas At Meadowood has become a bit of a San Francisco tradition where Napa Valley chef Christopher Kostow ( of the Restaurant at Meadowood) invites 12 guest chefs to serve dinners with 12 legendary wine producers. Each of the 12 Days dinners cost $1,240 per couple and includes an overnight stay — with some of the profits benefiting Share Our Strength along the way

The events, running from Dec. 7 -22, kicked off on Friday when chef Scott Anderson — of New Jersey's Elements and the subject of a recent FR Interview — travelled across the country to serve dishes like a winter square consommé with Monterey abalone, chicken skin and broccoli and a now pretty famous mole made with Jersey Saskatoon berries. He sources those from a farmer down the road from his Princeton restaurant. At the dinner, which Inside Scoop SF covered, Juan Mercado of Realm Cellars paired wines with the course prepared by Anderson and Kostow.
