NYC: Wingfest Is Coming

Fact: If you go to Wingfest, you'll be as psyched as the guy on the right. The dude at left obviously doesn't have his priorities straight.

 

Ah, autumn in New York City. Leaves are changing. Jackets are being worn. Football is on TV. And wings are on the table. On September 29, many, many wings will be on the table on Manhattan's west side, when chefs from the likes of Hill Country Chicken, Tribeca Tap House, Dinosaur Bar-BB-Que, Bon Chon and others square off in the annual New York City Wingfest. (Those in the Mid-Atlantic states need not worry! There's a DC Wingfest, coming up October 13.)

Last year's NYC champ, Duke's, will be defending the blue-cheese-dipped crown when the hungry crowds gather to gnaw that chicken off the bone during two afternoon sessions, where $55 gets you a 3-hour open bar and all the wings you can eat.
