Check Out Paul Smith's Crazy Food Chair
The UK designer joins Jamie Oliver charity project
UK fashion designer Sir Paul Smith has never been one to shy away from mixing bright colors and repetitive patterns. So it's not much of a surprise that his offering for Jamie Oliver and London design firm Fritz Hansen's BIG Chair Project features apples, bananas and grapes in vivid hues on the back side, with a front showcasing cakes and puddings.
The project also features designs by Matthew Williamson, Superdry, Christopher Bailey and Quentin Blake, as well as a chair by Oliver. The chairs will be auctioned off through the Better Food Foundation to celebrate and help continue to fund Oliver's 10-year-old London restaurant Fifteen, which trains unemployed youths to become professional chefs.
The project launched today. More photos and information at the BIG Chair Project facebook page.
