Word Of The Day: Kipper

You may have seen them on British breakfast plates. Then again you may have never seen a British breakfast plate. All the good ones involve kippers, though. This is not your average lox.

To "kipper" means to cure fish, used as an adjective and verb. Small, oily fish, typically herring, are soaked in brine, smoked and then dried.
