Aloha. Wait, no, hawaij. With a “j.” Totally completely different than sunsets, sand and hula skirts (not that Yemen's not fun too).
Hawaij is a Yemeni spice blend used on fish, chicken, lamb, pork or beef, as well as in their traditional vegetable soup. The curry-like blend, similar to India's garam masala, can be found at Pereg Gourmet’s spice store or online specialty markets Check it out!
