Word Of The Day: Woodruff

Like any good rural farmers, we love the smell of hay in the morning. Thankfully for those of us who have migrated to the city, woodruff grows just fine on a windowsill.

Woodruff, also known as sweet woodruff, is a herb that smells like freshly cut hay mixed with a little spice. It's definitely worth it to grow a pot or two, as it's an awesome seasoning, especially for grilled meat. Besides, how many basil plants do you have to kill before you spring for something a little hardier?
