What is your favorite type of cake? If nothing comes to mind, learning today's word will allow you to at least narrow down where it ideally comes from. The French make a heck of a gateau.
Gateau is French for any type of cake, from pound to angel, chocolate to sponge and back. All those years of making wishes and blowing out candles finally paid off when we found this recipe.
