Recently the good people at Mercedes-Benz let me test drive a new 2012 SLK 250 Roadster, a monster of a miniature sports car with plenty of power under the hood (a 1.8 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, to be precise). I picked up the car at the lot in Nice for a week-long test-drive across the French Riviera and up into Provence. Along the way I would eat myself silly while exploring a few of the region's best new hotels. These are some of the highlights.
