Sing A Wing Song With Food Republic

When we stood back and looked at the bounty of chicken wing recipes we've brought you over the past couple of weeks — plus a profile of the Ultimate Wingman — we felt pretty proud. Proud enough to brag. And not too proud to sing about it. Without further ado, our recommendations for your weekend cooking adventures, sung to the tune of Piano Man (speaking of songs inexplicably stuck in our heads):

It's 9 'o clock on a Saturday

The regular crowd shuffles in

There's a hungry dude complaining to me

He wants wings soaked in lemon and gin

He says, "Guys, can you make me some awesome wings?

Wings that will truly amaze

So I dug really deep in the recipe heap

For ginger-lime wings with rum glaze

La la la, di da da

La la, di di da da da

Now John at the bar is a friend of mine

He puts mustard on everything

So I fired up the crock pot and got all that bird hot

And made him Mighty Mustard Wings

He says, "Guys, I believe that your recipe

Is sweet, but not spicy enough

Add some honey and sriracha."

I said, "Yeah, I gotcha,"

And drenched them in spicy red stuff

Make them some wings you're the wing man

Make them some wings tonight

Well they're all in the mood for some Buffalo wings

And they know that you make them right.

It's a pretty good crowd for a Saturday

And I'm craving some crunchy pork rinds

So I crush them to crumbs with my fingers and thumbs

I'll share these great wings When Pigs Fly

And my friends, they're all hungry carnivores

And these wings make me feel like a beer

And they gasp at the wings you just took off the grill

And say, "Man, Anaheim chiles are fierce."

Oh, la la la, di da da

La la, di da da da da

Make them some wings you're the wing man

Make them some wings tonight

Well they're all in the mood for some excellent wings

And now you can make them just right.

Hey, don't ignore that tip jar. A guy's gotta eat.
