Bring in fall with a spicy apple-garnished cocktail

Asellina in New York City's Gansevoort Park Hotel is known for cocktails that feature fresh ingredients and innovative garnishes. In honor of the beginning of fall, this drink features an apple slice dusted with cayenne pepper. In honor of the end of summer, this drink is heavy on the high-end tequila. Go ahead, straddle the line for a few more weeks.
Servings: 1 drink
Ingredients
2 oz Don Julio Reposado
1 oz lime juice
1 oz pineapple juice
1 1/2-inch thick slice of green apple
cayenne pepper for dusting
Directions:
- Shake the tequila and juices with ice and strain into a martini glass.
- Dust apple slice generously with cayenne pepper.
- Garnish and serve.
